ACTIVE LISTENING

When I work with families the skill that I always address early on is active listening....  The simplest but most difficult tool for effective communication.  It feels so simple that it is hard to believe how powerful it is in everyday interactions.  Sooooo what do you hear me saying so far????

good day for a bicycle...

The birds are chattering and the sun is shining.  I think it's a good day for a bicycle ride....

Sometimes life throws so much stuff so fast it is hard to catch it with any kind of grace.
